| Inexpensive trophies were given to the overall winners, to the second to last finisher, and to the fastest male & female who would not have received an award otherwise. And for the sake of stupidity, none of the figurines on the trophies were running-related! Meanwhile, the top three finishers in each age group received color certificates featuring Edvard Munch's painting "The Scream", along with lucky lotto numbers and various quotes related to the word "stupid". (No prize money or Oscar-like trophies were given out this year due to budgetary constraints.) Names of members of the Shenandoah Valley Runners at the time of the race are in bold blue print; names of Loudoun Road Runners Club members are in bold red; and names of South Riding Running Club members are in bold green.
